Over the last few years I have become more and more interested in computers. I appreciate the opportunitiy to keep in touch with people around the world, and am amazed at the possibilities the computer and internet have made available. I enjoy doing a family newsletter when time permits. |

I enjoy reliving my days in the Air Force as a memberof the Berlin Island Association (BIA). This organization is comprised of a group of former members of the United States Air Force Security Service and subsequent commands that served 100 miles behind the iron curtain in Berlin, Germany. The group includes people who served in Berlin in the 1950's through the early 1990's when the unit was deactivated. I lived and worked in what was then West Berlin for three years, and enjoyed every minute of it. Now it is a pleasure to be reconnected with many of those I served with. This is a 1990 Mazda Miata which I bought in April of 1996. It is called my "Billmobile." The reason for the name is that in February of 1996 one of my three older brothers (Bill) died of cancer. Bill was single so each of the five siblings received some unexpected money. I have fond memories of Bill's 1959 red MG, and thought that he would approve of my using his money to purchase the Miata. I'm sure he does! In June of 2001 I sold this Miata and purchased a 1997 Miata (that looks just the same). |
